The life path number is numerology's equivalent of the sun sign in astrology — the single most significant number in a person's numerological profile, derived entirely from their birth date.

How the calculation works

The calculation reduces the full birth date to a single digit by addition. For a person born on 15 March 1990, you would add 1+5+0+3+1+9+9+0 = 28, then 2+8 = 10, then 1+0 = 1. Life path 1. The only exception is the master numbers: if the reduction reaches 11, 22, or 33, those numbers are not reduced further — they carry their own amplified meaning in the tradition.
